Plants in Human Affairs – Brazil (cancelled)
May 19, 2014 - June 2, 2014$4000
the course has been cancelled due to lack of enrollment
After a hiatus of one year, Plants in Human Affairs is again being offered by the Center for Spirituality and Healing at the University of Minnesota. This time, the four-credit, ‘intensive’ course will be held at Wasi Waska, the retreat center founded by anthropologist Eduardo Luna. It is located in Florianópolis, Brazil, on lovely Santa Catarina Island.
The course will be team-taught by Dennis McKenna, Ph.D. Assistant Professor at the Center, and Dr. Luna, an anthropologist, considered the world’s authority on the ‘vegetalismo’ ethnomedical traditions of the Peruvian Amazon.
